Tug of war
Yo know when a decision is hard to make and it feels like your brain is having a tug of war in your head. That’s how I feel lately. I can’t put my finger on how I actually feel and it makes it even harder to make a decision.
I’m not sure if I’m done with the Sunshine Coast and need a new challenge, or I’m just homesick and need to go home for a little while. Gosh it was easier when you were younger and someone else made the decision for you.. HaHaHa
A part of me can’t see the opportunities on the coast anymore and I’m craving for something new and exciting (It’s been 5 years after all). I still have at least 8 months left on my visa so I don’t think it’s time to go home just yet. I’ve been looking at places like Gold Coast and Melbourne and they both feel very tempting. But how do you really know if it is just being homesick or it’s actually time to go home??
Some people say that life is never easy and that we have to learn to move on and sometimes we make the wrong decisions, but a decision is better than no decision. I don’t have the answers, I just know that it’s confusing.
I have friends that have moved back home and in to their parents place and they say it’s the best decision they have ever made. I mean I can totally understand, your parents are the perfect roommate, they cook, clean and love you no matter what. But is that where I want to go being 34 years old??? I should have my things sorted, or at least that’s what people say.
Have you ever experienced the confusion that’s going on in your own head? If so, what decision did you make?
