Today we’re gonna talk about…..

Confusion 

If English is not your first language there is a lot of words that can confuse you a little bit. Listed down under is a couple of words that has got me thinking. 

Wind –  the perceptible natural movement of the air = The wind is strong
or it can mean operate by turning a key or handle = Wind up a fishing line

Lead – an example for others to follow = He is in the lead
or it can mean a halter or a rope attached to an animal to keep them close = I’m holing my dog in a lead. 

Bow –  knot tied with two loops and two loose ends = That is a nice bow
or it can mean incline the body to bend = He took a bow

Jam – an instance of a machine or thing seizing or becoming stuck = Paper jam
or it can mean congestion = We are stuck in a traffic jam

Squash – a state of being squeezed or forced into a small or restricted space = It was a tight squash or it can mean squash the sport

Cast -an act of throwing something forcefully = He cast the fishing net
or it can mean plaster bandage = He broke his arm and had to get a cast.
