6 things I’m Grateful for in life
Personal reflection on life
After having a weekend away and getting the opportunity to reflect over my life I have realised that there is so much that we should be grateful for. I find my life very interesting and when I look back I’m very glad that I live my life.
I don’t have a clear idea or path for what I want to do in life, but right now I’m grateful for:
Living my dream – Since I was 16 year old Australia has always been on my mind. I was always wondering how it would be to live there, and now I’m lucky enough to call Australia my home.
My Health –Â I hear a lot of stories about people my age or younger that died for different causes. I’m lucky to have my health and I’m lucky to be able to walk and talk and do whatever I want to do.
Food to eat –Â If you have been out traveling you would have seen people that aren’t as lucky as we are, they don’t have food and they don’t have clean water. They have to go out every day and try to find food so they can feed their family. Their job is to find food and they fight for their survival every day. This makes my heart break and it’s very sad to see.
Roof over my head – I feel very lucky to have a roof over our head, there is so many people out there (even in our own countries) that has to sleep outside in the streets.
Freedom – I’m very happy that I come from a country where we have freedom. We can come and go just the way we want and we don’t have to live our lives in fear. If we didn’t have freedom I wouldn’t be able to live my dream here in Australia.
People that love me – This is the most important one and we can easily forget how blessed we are. Every day when I wake up I feel so blessed to have my boyfriend by my side. I’m so blessed to have people in this life caring for me and loving me even when I don’t love myself.Â
