Fun fact, There is 10,685 beaches in Australia and If you visited one new beach in Australia every day, it would take 29 years to see them all.

I love the beach and have always find it to be the best place to find motivation. I try to go down there every day and appreciate that I live so close. Since I love the beach so much I have driven around and seen a lot of them, and my favourite beaches on the Sunshine Coast are….

• The Point Cartwright Beach – It’s never to busy there and you can sit there watching the surfers going in and out. I find it very quiet, peaceful and I love the fact that you are allowed to bring your dog down here. This is a great place to bring kids, because the beach is blocked with rocks and this will keep the big waves away and make it better for kids to swim.

• Kawana Beach – This is my “home’ beach, it is just around the corner from The point Cartwright Beach, but it is different. I love this beach for the same reasons, however my favourite thing is that this beach is very popular for turtles to lay their eggs. Watching a baby turtle (known as a “hatchling”) struggle out of the nest and make its way to the water is an emotional experience.
  

• North Shore Beach – I often go here when there is a lot of tourists around. This beach is a bit more quiet and the beach is always very clean. I don’t find the waves as crazy here as they are down at Kawana Beach. It’s close to coffee shops and restaurants which is nice if you are here on a holiday.

• Peregian Beach – The main reason that I love this beach is because it’s further away and not a lot of people come here. It’s a bit of a local beach and everyone is always very friendly. There are coffee shops around here as well, but not as many. This is probably not the best beach for kids that doesn’t swim to well since the waves are pretty big here.

• Moffat Beach – This is a very popular place for surfers and families with kids. It’s a beautiful place and there is a big playground for the kids and a big grass area with BBQ’s to enjoy a nice dinner and watch the sunset. There is a lot of restaurants and coffee shops around. It gets pretty busy on weekends and school holidays, so if you want a good spot you better arrive early.
