Mental Health Rehab

Happy Monday everyone and welcome back to a very exciting week.
I’m sorry thai I have been a bit distant this weekend, but I took some time of life and did some mental health rehabilitation.
During the weekend I was sitting in the park thinking of ways that I could handle my very depressed mind. I came up with the idea to create something that I like to call “Toolbox of Happiness”
I decided on 8 things that I can do when I’m feeling sad and depressed and I came up with the following.
Go out in the Nature
Read a good book
Play with a Pet
Listen to Music
Go for a run
Take a long hot bath/shower
Get my hair done
Get a Manicure/ Pedicure
These are things that I love doing and that makes me relaxed and calm. So every time I struggle and start getting angry and frustrated at life I will pick one of these things and stop what ‘m doing and do whatever I decide from the list. I will try this for a week and see how I go and then I will come back to you with the result.
I also wrote down things that I know makes my depression worse (Fuel for Depression)
I came up with 4 things that I always do to myself that makes my depression worse.
- Turning positive into negative – With this I meant that imagine if someone asks you if you like to come for a hike. AT the start you are very happy and excited, but then you start thinking about things like. -What should I wear? – How far are we going? -I’m not fit enough….. etc. well you get the idea. This is what I do all the time, with everything and it makes you look at life very negative.
- Assumptions –Â This is something else that I do all the time. I assume that people don’t like me and I assume that people don’t want me to do things or that people don’t want me to come along to a party etc. This is a very bad trail and we all need to stop assuming that people don’t like us. If they don’t that’s ok, move on and find someone that does like you for who you are. The reality is that we can’t love everyone and not everyone can love us.Â
- Living in the Future –Â Being a millennial I know that we want things here and no, preferably yesterday. Being depressed is hard, but it makes it even harder when we live in the future. If we only concentrate on the future and not what we have here and now we will never appreciate the beauty of life. I know myself how hard it is and I tend to do it all the time, and its killing me slowly. Take my advice and work on this every day, try to find the little piece of happiness that you have in your life.Â
- Label Yourself – Ohhhh boy… how many times have you looked yourself in the mirror and wondered who the hell this ugly and stupid person is….. I do It all the time, every day and I’m never happy with who I am or the way I look. But to beat the depression and our unhealthy ind we have to stop doing this…we have to love what we have and go with it. So please, everyone out there suffering very bad, close your eyes and visualise your body in your head and find at least three things that you love about yourself.Leave a comment below of what you love about yourself and every time a thought about how fat, ugly, stupid or what a looser you are pops into your head think bak to the moment where you picked three things that you love and focus on them instead. Let’s do this together.Â
XOXO
I love my eyes, my long legs and my smile.Â
If you fail, get back up.

I love my mind as it’s so complex,I also like to call it self,as its been with me on huge dark journeys, but never ceases to amaze me,how eventually it always finds the light.
